I refuse to name the man here today who has called for the closure of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (CBC) in Washington. But he is the one who rules from on high south of our border, the man who hasn’t met a monument, airport, or national treasure that he hasn’t immediately wanted to put his name on.

I honestly cannot fathom the degree of self-centred self-aggrandizing mentality one must possess to think this way. The great Cheeto-handed man who sleeps through most meetings while somehow also tweeting in the wee hours goes beyond all common norms and expectations of good behaviour. He is the poster child for a never ending stream of toxic character traits and psychological illnesses.

But we have grown to expect destructive behaviour that will leave a mark on the country for years to come from him, to the point where even mentioning it now seems to trigger its own kind of negative reaction. Don’t talk about him or what he does, it’s been mentioned too often, quit harping on the same problems. I get that attitude, but I don’t agree fully with it: we can’t just accept this as the “new normal” and remain a healthy society.

I occasionally wake up from my own tiredness regarding the behaviour of this despicable excuse for a human being. For some reason today it was the attack on a monument to the name of John F. Kennedy that triggered my reaction. Perhaps I’ll close my eyes again for another few weeks and let King Combover’s actions wash over me again in the interim. But I don’t know whether that is a healthy reaction any more- I just know that I can’t constantly be outraged at the man.

I’ve started into a wishy washy “acceptance” phase where I’m done trying to shove truth at, or logic at, or expect sanity from the cult surrounding this giant ego-stain. The ego keeps getting fed more and more and the gullible keep choosing to believe the unbelievable. They will either turn on him, or drag us all down into the cult-led apocalypse. Nothing I do can change them. Either the large portion of our population who have thus far chosen not to vote wakes the FRAK up (and no one decides to play chicken with ignoring those votes and says never mind to democracy, which aside from a general violent uprising, shoves us into becoming like Russia), I will get to spend even more time living in the uncanny valley of WTF is going on with these people?!, surrounded by the idiocracy. It is terrifying to me to know that there is a person with very little mental capacity left, sitting in an unprecedented position of bought power, surrounded by people who stoke the ego, pay him money and get him to shit out the things they want. Who cares if we’re destroying the atmosphere, pollute baby pollute, don’t put any limits on his donor corporations. It is terrifying that he has a blonde uber-cultist psychopath feeding him false reality and spewing her psychosis out of his social account to the world at 3 am. The past decade has been sheer and utter hell. At a time when we need competence more than ever, we have the least competent people I could ever imagine in charge of really important things. People who say utterly incomprehesibly stupid things in official government hearings such as they don’t want to punish victims of beastiality, which would mean they were planning to hire the beasts? Then we get to learn that ooops, we ALREADY put weapons in orbit and if I’m reading between the PRspeak properly, those might be AI controlled or they plan to AI control them!? I’ll just bet we know which utterly insane rich dude helped that happen. Next thing it will be sharks with frikiken lasers… Today has not been a good day for me to read the news.
