The U.S. gun lobby is furiously pushing back against a Trump-government narrative after a Veteran Affairs nurse Alex Pretti was murdered by ICE agents. I am using the word ‘murder’ here intentionally: this was not a legal action performed by bonafide police officers. Instead, this was the brutal shooting of a man who by all evidence had already been disarmed during an otherwise peaceful protest.

I have been diagnosed with hypomania. It is an interesting diagnosis, not easily achieved. I am impressed by the diagnostic work the medical professionals involved went through.

Irene and I live in a place with a moderately cold climate. The Kootenays can have a few days in the winter with temperatures around -15 or so, although not commonly. It definitely gets cold enough that freezing is a concern.

I had to travel to Kelowna last week for an electroencephalogram (EEG). More specifically, mine was a “prolonged sleep-deprived EEG’. It sounds a little bit like torture, and it is… a little bit.

I buy a lot of stuff via Amazon. Lots of it is household goods like cleaners and the like. Most of it, however, amounts to my attempt at solutions to problems that arguably didn’t need to be solved. Things that bother me, don’t quite work right, or simply could be easier become an Amazon order. Amazon has almost everything, so a bolt, gadget, or device suitable to the task in some way is likely to be there somewhere.

I finally received the book from the installer of my bike’s trike conversion. Only three months late, give or take. I’m picking on Richard at Pair-a-dice trikes a bit, here: I know he’s been extremely busy, and my regular “where is my book” calls were likely no help in that regard.
