I’ve started the process of migrating my bigger pieces of content from the old site. For folks who haven’t had the pleasure, this includes larger chunks of text I’ve written about topics like Dungeons and Dragons, massively multiplayer gaming, and some of my computer projects. They don’t really have the same sort of timeliness as a blog posting, and are prone to being rather lengthy.

Getaway…
My wife and I took a little break from real life over the past 24 hours. We went up to Harrison Hotsprings and stayed in a nice hotel there for one night.
Happy Anniversary!
Irene and I have been married for 15 years as of today. Having Irene in my life totally changed my perspective on things for the better.
Karl Rove, your conscience called…
I have this image of Karl Rove, one of George Bush’s senior advisors and architect of his re-election campaign, smoking a big cigar (Cuban) and laughing at America. This is a guy who advises trotting out patriotism as an excuse for violating civil rights, lying to the public about fictional WMD, and calling political opponents who actually served in a war “cowards” and liars.
Pain in the neck
My back hurts. More specifically, my upper back: my doctor said something about C4-5 and C5-6, and spondylolisthesis, which sounds like a kind of fungus. The pain comes and goes, and is sometimes accompanied by numbness in my arm. He prescribed painkillers and physiotherapy. I’ve been putting off the physio, but the pain today has gotten to be a bit much so I think its about time.
Coming together
I just added in RSS feeds from Google News and Slashdot on the right navigation bar of the main page here. The basics of my new, “improved” site are almost all in place- in essence, everything you used to see in the old site is here now.
No Justice
I am getting tired of reading news stories about people committing violent crimes with their cars and then getting off with the judicial equivalent of a DUI conviction
Google Earth is cool
A week or so ago a co-worker of mine showed me a program he was playing with- Google Earth. Its a beta, and I had heard of it before, but it hadn’t really intrigued me very much until Dan showed it to me.
Antonia Bayle…in real life
Another strange thing about MMOGs is the fact that they have now spawned real world model searches. I’m not playing EverQuest 2 any more really, but this sort of got my attention.
Gaming…
I got my MMOG “fix” today…several hours of monster slaying in World of Warcraft with Shane, Monique, and Bryan…that’s the best kind of gaming for me. Then, a little later in the evening, I logged in again and finished a handful of quests.
