I have a problem with colour. Basically, if you ask me which colours I like, I couldn’t really tell you. I know I prefer dark or subdued colours, but I also like contrasts. And of course how colours look on a swatch often has no relation to how they look when you paint the entire room with them. When I picked the light green, I was sort of doubtful. But as I said above, it seems to work well.

The hardwood guys are here now. It will take most of the week for them to finish: wood, sanding, and staining hopefully get done today, then two coats of polyurethane or whatever it is called with a day between. I’m hoping I can look at starting to re-assemble the room by the weekend. There are lots of little things I have to remember to do: for example, my office chairs need new wheels. Carpet wheels don’t work well on smooth surfaces, and are actually kind of dangerous. It is never ending…
