Will do, Chris. The only wall clock I have on my list is the circa 1840 “Ogee” style clock I supposedly won the bidding for on eBay just recently. I haven’t really looked much at wall clocks in general, although I don’t have a good explanation as to why. Bracket clocks, mantle clocks, and “tall case” (e.g.: Grandfather) clocks are what comes to mind for me when I think of an antique, for some reason.

And then there is the fact that wall clocks require… walls 😉 And nails, and the like. Whereas a mantle clock can sit on any flat, stable surface- no need to hammer a nail (or for a clock, several big honkin’ screws) into the wall just to see if you like it.

When your Mom thinks of a “wall clock”, is it something like this=> http://www.davewestclocks.co.uk/wall/wall4.html. If so, that’s something I could maybe get into 🙂
