I’m glad your Dad liked the clock! It was fun to work on, and taught me a lot. The one I’m working on now, the mechanism is filthy. I’ve gone through about six pairs of latex gloves so far as I’ve tried to clean the grunge off the mainsprings. Usually the mainsprings are dirty, but these… well, I suppose it is safe to say that they were well greased 😉
