Avoiding people is a valid rationale for going incognito in my books, Bhagpuss 😉

I hate that situation where someone walks up and says “Hey, , long time no see!” and then starts talking away at me. There is about a 90% chance that I won’t remember their name and about a 70% chance I won’t remember them at all. I remember conversations and sometimes faces, but I’m not a great ‘people person’.

So I suppose I should be more wary of linking my real-life self to my online presence: but thus far at least it hasn’t caused me too much grief. At the end of the day, though, it is an entirely personal choice.
