Stoked to hear about your MacBook Air upgrade. I have a 2020 model but with an M1 chip and I have been secretly yearning to upgrade to the model you just got!

I used to be on the merry-go-round of upgrading my iPhone every year, but like you said, it was a very expensive pastime. Your 5 year rule of thumb is a good one, which means I’m due for a few upgrades soon enough.
