iPod in Space…

I came across this photo on Gizmodo and thought it was sufficiently odd to reference here:

Yes, apparently that is an iPod sitting on the dashboard of the Space Shuttle Endeavour. My friend Chris caught mention of the iPod earlier, but I thought the picture was interesting in its own right.

    The Conspiracy theorist in me would think that one of those astronauts had a side deal for some $$ from apple to put one of their products up onto the dashboard…pretty good publicity :)

    Could be :) But it would probably be easier just to pay the Russians a ton of money to slap a big “Apple” label on the side of their next rocket ;)

    Yeah but we all know that Russians can’t afford Ipods, so what good would that do :P
